Upon completion of his dental education from Southern Illinois University, Dr. Carroll relocated to Window Rock, AZ where he had the unique opportunity to improve the oral health of Native Americans on the Navajo reservation. After several years of an amazing clinical experience treating a population in great need, he is now proud to call Yuma, AZ his home.

Dr. Carroll enjoys all aspects of family dentistry. He has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in implant dentistry, root canal therapy, metal-free restorations, and orthodontics using clear aligners. Dr. Carroll continues his education at the Spear Center for Dental Excellence. Spear Education is a leader in dental education excellence. He is one of only a thousand members of the Spear Faculty Club.

In addition, Dr. Carroll is also a member of cerecdoctors.com which is a world-recognized group of dentists who desire to be on the leading edge of digital dentistry. He has successfully completed and implemented all the levels of curriculum for CEREC dentists available at the Scottsdale Center of Dentistry in order to provide his patients with the most advanced digital dentistry available. Dr. Carroll has a passion for computerized CAD/CAM dentistry. He has recently implemented a cone beam computed tomography 3D imaging system into his practice. He has created the premier all digital dental office in Yuma, AZ.

Your Yuma dentist, Dr. Carroll has an affinity for higher education. Yes, any other dental office website says the same thing over and over. But can your dentist say that they actually traveled to the Dominican Republic to provide care for underserved patients and at the same time acquired hands-on experience on some of the most advanced dental techniques to restore a person’s mouth? Probably not. Dr. Carroll did just this when he trained under Dr. Garg of Dental Implant Seminars in January of 2016.

On top of all that, Dr. Carroll is a graduate of the Misch Implant Institute and was awarded fellowship in the International Congress of Implantologists, a world-leading group of dental implant providers.

When he’s not hard at work keeping Yuma mouths healthy and beautiful, Dr. Carroll enjoys many outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and golf. He also loves to travel and is a fan of staying in shape through healthy diet and exercise. Your Yuma Dentist is an active member of the Yuma Rotary Club where he currently is a board member. Most recently, Dr. Carroll was awarded the 2015-2016 Yuma Rotarian of the Year. A distinct honor for the commitment he has made to better the community of Yuma, AZ.

Natalie has been with our practice since 2012 and working in dentistry since, 2004! She is passionate about the dental field and loves to see the look on a patient’s face when they see the final results of one of Dr. Carroll’s perfect restorations.

There is much that Natalie loves about her job in our Yuma dental office: meeting new patients and catching up with familiar faces, the “dental family” that she works with and how well we all get along, and the results of treatments that we perform.

She refuses to work for a dentist that she wouldn’t let work on her. Dr. Carroll’s thorough and gentle care with all of his patients is one of the best things about working for him, as well as his great sense of humor that puts both staff and patients at ease and makes work seem not so much like work. She loves her job, she loves dentistry, but she really loves the team that we have become. This is by far her favorite job she has ever held.

Natalie is proud that she has achieved Coronal Polishing Certification. When she’s not at work, she loves to spend quality time with her young daughter, Neah.

Shanel feels that being a hygienist gives her the opportunity to help people, brighten their day, and hopefully make being in the dental chair a less stressful experience.

One thing that really makes her day is when she gets a patient that has a lot of stains on their teeth. After the stains are removed, their whole persona is changed and they’re no longer so reluctant to smile. She also enjoys seeing the positive changes to a patient’s oral health. Shanel loves that her job is so rewarding.

Shanel likes to fill her spare time with pretty much anything that has to do with the outdoors. Some activities she enjoys include hunting, fishing, hiking, four-wheeling, and horseback riding. She shoots archery at the local club every weekend and travels for tournaments. She also enjoys quilting, welding/fabrication, and physical fitness.
